Dear Reader, As many of you know, both my husband Brace and I are cancer survivors. When you go through something like that, it changes how you see life. You learn pretty quickly what really matters. Three weeks ago, during my yearly breast MRI, the doctors saw a small nodule that wasn’t there last year. So today I found myself at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City for a closer look. First they did an ultrasound. They just needed to answer one question: While I was waiting, three different people in the waiting room stopped to tell me how much they loved my shoes and socks. I guess even a hospital visit can have a little style involved. Then the technician came back into the room and said the words every cancer survivor hopes to hear: “Yes… it’s just fat.” I cannot tell you how happy I was to hear that sentence. Sometimes a little fat is exactly what you want. But when it comes to business finances, extra fat usually isn’t such good news. Hidden expenses. That’s where a Finance MakeOver can help. Sometimes all a business needs is a careful look and a simple plan to trim the financial fat and help the whole business run stronger and healthier. Let’s make 2026 your year.

Dear Reader, I woke up this morning to a notification that nearly made me spit out my green smoothie. "The Porsche you're looking at just dropped in price. Now only $422,995." I laughed out loud. Bargain of the century, right? Honestly, let's buy three. Here's the backstory. When my husband and I bought our place in Utah, we needed a four-wheel-drive vehicle for the snow. I ended up with a Tesla Y, which I love so much I genuinely don't think I'll ever own another car that isn't a Tesla. But...

Day 27 of the month: Payroll is in four days. You are doing panic math in the shower. You're refreshing Stripe like it's going to save you. You're scrolling through...
Dear Reader, This weekend my best friend from High School, Donna, and I went to the open house at the new Lindon Temple in Utah. We almost didn't go. They weren't doing tickets this year — first come, first served. We figured we'd hit traffic, hit a line, hit something. Showed up early anyway, parked easy, walked right in. I'm honestly so glad we did. The temple was breathtaking. But my favorite part was the stained glass. Every window was filled with flowers. And here's what I didn't catch...
